Calcium is a macronutrient element widely consumed by plants; it is the building block of the plant cell wall. It is generally found in compounds in the soil that plants cannot benefit from. Movement ability (transport) within the plant is very weak.

Calcium carbonate (lime) in the soil may not meet the calcium need of the plant sufficiently. Calcium carbonate has low solubility in water. For all these reasons, there is a need for fertilization with calcium besides other fertilizers. Plants cannot grow without calcium.

When considering to produce calcium fertilizer, There is e need for good and usable formulation that is needed to decide which materials should be used. Also, this formula is needed to decide in what quantites should be used.
