DEFINITION |
Organic extract from the Horehound plant (Marrubium Vulgare L., Lamiaceae) which belongs to the mint family. It has been found to skin soothing and anti-irritant properties. It is a valuable ingredient for irritated skin and after-sun care. Dissolved in glycerin. Yellow-brown liquid, characteristic odor, pH 4.3. Water-soluble. |

USAGE |
It can be used add to aqueous phase of formulas (creams, lotions, gels etc) or add at the end of the formulation process. Typical use level is 1-3%. Can be processed either warm (60°C/140°F) or cold and is typically incorporated at the end of a cosmetic formulation, it is stable in the pH-range of 4.0-7.0. |
